- A golden boy meant to live a charmed life. Philip followed his parents into aviation: started at the KLM Flight Academy at 18, then swiftly climbed the ranks from Second to First Officer, with a clear trajectory to obtaining a Captain's rank by his mid-thirties. He was 23 when the Fall unfolded, grounded in Schiphol Airport when Amsterdam was bombed. Summarily rounded up and implanted.
- UnVeiled ten years ago after his implant began to fail, smuggled out through the efforts of a Dislinked agent embedded in a local memory clinic once it became apparent that he was approaching Total Implant Failure.
- Philip spent half a year in a stronghold, learning how to regain control of his emotions. It didn't escape his notice -- or that of Dislinked recruiters' -- that he possessed a pre-Fall skillset that would be eminently useful to the resistance, and when he was asked the question, Philip said yes. Someone had to fly the mission, after all.
